What the TBT Youth Council is
-

What It Is
The TBT Youth Council is a paid, youth-led advisory group shaping how reproductive health information is created, shared, and understood by teens. This is not just about accuracy. It’s about making sure information actually makes sense, feels relevant, and reflects what young people are seeing and experiencing in real life.
-

What They Do
Council members help identify content gaps, surface trends from social media, and break down misinformation in real time. Together, they analyze viral content, challenge misleading narratives, and help build clear, evidence-based responses informed by Take Back Trust content.
-

How It Works
The council is a small cohort of 6 to 8 participants, ages 16–21, who work together over a 12-month period. Engagement happens primarily through group chat, with optional monthly meetings. Members contribute approximately six hours per month and receive a monthly stipend for their participation.
-

Why It Matters
Teens are constantly navigating health information shaped by misinformation, fear, and politics. The TBT Youth Council ensures that content is grounded in real experiences, real questions, and real language. It builds a direct line between what young people are seeing and what they actually need, while empowering them to be part of the solution.
